Message from Your Principal: Title 1 School Level Parent Meeting

 As principal of Alta Vista Academy, I would like to inform you that we will be hosting our annual Title 1 School Level Parent Meeting, which will take place on August 26, 2021, at 2:30pm via a virtual meeting (Zoom) platform. Each year, Alta Vista Academy must conduct a meeting to involve parents/guardians of students participating in programs conducted under Title I. If you are interested in running for school site council, please complete and submit the nomination form to misti.cheers@sweetwaterschools.org. The nomination form is due on 8/25/21 by the end of the day.

At this meeting, parents will be provided with a description and explanation of the Title I programs available in the district, the curriculum in use at the school, the forms of academic assessment used, the challenging State academic standards, and information regarding the importance of parental involvement. We welcome this opportunity to speak with parents of participating students and to inform you of the important work being done within our school. All parents of students participating in Title I programs are encouraged to attend and participate in the discussion. Welcome to the 4th Annual San Diego Black College Expo in partnership with the San Diego County Office of Education.

National College Resources Foundation is so excited to host the San Diego Black College Expo exclusively for San Diego County students.

Students can meet with up to 50 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and gain knowledge and insight about the legacy and history of HBCUs.
